Tonic’s role at Shan Shui was to offer brand advisory, in both restaurant design and restaurant operations, to craft a tangible narrative and brand image. Our Associate Design Consultant, Mandy Sherliker, worked closely with the owners of Shan Shui, teasing out cultural touch points, to tell their story in the most interesting way. She developed the name and the logo, before moving into the design of the assets. This culminated in an elegant restaurant design, balancing intimacy and theatricality.
